Cheap( <$60) terracotta or other high-porosity unglazed 1-2 gallon crock and lid, or suggestions where to buy such things? I need the lip of the pot to be the same diameter as the base. I don't want to spend $100 for this shit...

Ace hardware sell Ohio Stoneware crocks. I use them for kombucha and kraut. If I were buying another specifically for kraut I'd probably get a german K&K with the airlock.

yeah, I am aging pu erh tea, so I need some airflow, without sucking out all of the humidity from the bodeva packets. Maybe there is a cheaper method, but I heard doing this works well.

Why do you want to put food in unglazed ceramics

look up a pottery studio and make your own

why are modern """men""" so weak that they would rather buy a literal unglazed clay pot than just go make one to their own specifications

First, I'm not a potter. Secondly, I'm frugal, not a broke-ass bitch like you

Been mulling this over. What do you think of an Ohio with a bed/layers of Raw Hydrostones. Terracotta for keeping bud moist. Might be a little pricey(unless you could pick up a whole retail box at a discount) but it would let you really dial in your suck. Or you know just go buy and break a pot and do the same thing.

I think I'm going to get an ohio, and get a unfinished wood. I also have some bodeva packs laying around. The air exchange from the wood lid, and the bodeva packets should provide ideal RH and airflow for compact pu erh aging
