whenever I want to lose weight I buy a giant bag of mixed vegetables and just eat them for every meal until I'm full, and I eat just enough greek yogurt to hit 20g of protein per meal but no more.

this may sound like an unpleasant concept at first but the key to a successful diet is to make all of the food available to you kind of bland. eventually you'll lost interest in eating unless you're very hungry and you'll become full very quickly since the food doesn't taste great.

There are no 'get-rich-quick' diets that work. Even if they get Aunt Sally into that dress in time for the wedding, it's not sustainable.
You need to change your eating habits or move around a lot more. But hopefully both. The most effective diet that I have enjoyed and found long term success with is low-carb omnivore with lots of fat. You just eat fewer times per day and end up taking in fewer calories. The body burns energy more efficiently without carbs, so it melts your body fat when you're not eating. But most people are just unwilling to give up their favorite carb-heavy dishes.

For 360 calories you could have
>1 brotein shake (water only; 120 kcal, 28g protein)
>1 can of tuna (120 kcal, 28g protein)
>>>as a tuna salad with 1 tbsp of mayo and some onion/celery - add 100 kcal
>the remaining 40 kcal - single piece of caramel candy if you want some sugar. otherwise just leave it off if you want to ketolard
>take sugar free vitamin and mineral supps (0kcal) and soluble fiber supplement (0kcal)

That's almost 60g protein for under 360 kcal a day. Not enough with daily exercise but pretty stable with 0 exercise. Whereas the junior chicken only has 13g, not enough for basic life functions without your body catabolizing its own muscle, fucking up your enzyme and hormone production, etc.
