I have been bedridden for 9 months. What can I eat to freshen up stagnant metabolism?

It's by far the best you can eat for your metabolism. Animal fat also, things like yogurt, nice fermented cheeses like parmeggiano.
Hope you feel better soon anon.

Tropical fruits (esp pineapple) are full of enzymes which assist digestion, but they are high glycemic index, spiking sugar, not ideal for kickstarting metabolism if eaten in excess. You don't need to eat a ketogenic diet, but don't binge on starches and sugars.

Eat plenty of fresh herbs, so things like pico de gallo and tabouli salad, and add herbs to whatever you can. They're full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They will help your body produce mucus, which is a good thing, and it will help you clear any mucus and nastiness sitting around from your not doing shit.

It's equally important to get up and move around.

Probiotic stuff would be a good start, yoghurt, fermented shit like sauerkraut and kimchi. Get your microbiome active and just slowly start upping your calories, and get as many fresh herbs and seasonal veg in you as possible.
Get well soon

Also, if you are backed up, take some psyllium husk and Dr Christopher's Quick Colon about an hour after dinner for big poops in the morning. And of course probiotics as others have mentioned.

>nine months
fuck bro
i rebuilt my guts after a years long parasitic infestation with high fat yogurt, oats, blueberries, greens and fish. i couldnt digest whole grains, meat or fiberous vegetables at all at first but i was alright after about two months. you're gonna need a lot of protein and calcium to get your musculature and skeleton built back up, hope your recovery goes smoothly bro
