Failed attempt at making meat pies, dough is just too annoying to make by hand, once baked they were pretty tasty, but dough is annoying from. Next time will use bread machine to make the dough.

those still look nice but yeah, the dough's a bit tough innit. are you making shortbread cruss or pastry cruss? also use pie tins or an extra large muffin tin, works a charm

You should try Tom Kerridge's steak and ale pie, he's got a good hot water pastry recipe on there

the secret is to put the dough in a bowl, cover it with glad wrap and let it sit overnight, same applies if you were to make it by a bread machine which is a smart idea, nice try though.

I have done the whole recipe and will admit that it turned out well. Almost didn't want to make the pastry as the filling was so good
