I have a question that doesn't deserve its own thread so I think it's a good time to start a QTDDTO thread.
I just bought a dozen eggs for NINE and a half FUCKING DOLLARS. I need eggs, but I use them sparingly and my MO has been to set a reminder in my calendar so I know when their expiration date is approaching so I know to use them up without wasting my fucking money.
Anyway, picrel. Can youse guys help me figure out the fucking expiration date on these things, please?
>>21417595 (OP)>NINE and a half FUCKING DOLLARSSounds like you got scammed because I can get a 30 large egg pack for that price in Canada.
>Can youse guys help me figure out the fucking expiration dateI would have if you didn't smear the date with your fat greasy hands.
>[single digit] JUL 2025
eggs are resilient enough that what that single digit is doesn’t really matter. It’s not a 1 or 7. If you’re paranoid make it 2, but realistically pretending it’s a 9 would also be fine.
>DAANG
>>21417595 (OP)Good thing about eggs is if you are wondering "is this spoilt?" then they are safe to eat, if they spoil you wont have a shred of doubt once you crack them open.
Applies to meat, fish and seafood too.
I switched to potato starch and my japanese fried chicken was bit tough (also still not crunchy), was it the potato starch's fault

when the hell did /ck/ get so full of angry serious posters? if it’s summer fags, this is a really weird batch of them. buncha people who ain’t never heard of jokes, sarcasm, or just the concept of ‘fun’ in general.
also does anyone make meringue cookies? what temp & time do you have for the bake? the recipe i was using tends to collapse internally pretty quickly, i extended the bake to be 25% longer which helped, which make me think the recipe is wrong-ish (60m @ 225f, 1-2h rest in oven).

best BEFORE bro. eggs dont really go bad, especially pasturized fridged ones. i never fucking eat eggs but i like them and a carton will last in my fridge three or four months, never had em go bad on me. you can freeze them too if youre quite sure youre not gonna use them
>>21417635I just wanted to know when the best-ish date was. Sometimes when I buy eggos I have 6 weeks to play with, sometimes it's only 2 weeks. I just don't want to push it too far and get the trots from eating off-eggs. The trots are the worst.
Also are you really sure it says 29?? I don't think it says 29.
>>21417613every so often some faggot tourist comes along and wonders why we don't do things other internet shitholes do.

>6-8 large ripe tomatoes (750g)
>Grate the tomatoes into a bowl and discard the skins
Surely if I grate them, the skins will get grated too. Does she mean peel them first? Or am I missing something
>>21417759Who the fuck grates tomatoes? What is this supposed to even be for?
