Gazpacho. Refreshing, healthy, tasty, cheap, can be turned into a full meal for an extra 3โ‚ฌ. No, I don't make it, I can't make shit because I'm lazy and stupid. It's so convenient it can be drunk off the packaging

Split pea, lentil or bean soups. Just follow the recipe on the package of dried peas / lentils / beans. 3$ to 5$ makes several quarts of soup.

I make a wicked red lentil soup. Cook a white onion in olive oil nice and slow, salt, add crushed garlic and cumin seeds and cook for another minute or two. Add chicken stock, cooked red lentils, some butter, and some gochujang. Deglaze and blend. Serve with mozarella sticks and/or onion rings for dipping

>DO YOU GO TO THE STORE TO BUY SOUP?
No. Never buy soup at the store. Canned soup sucks. And it's so easy to make yourself. You basically just chuck shit in a pot and simmer it for a bit. Well, there's a little more nuance if you want a really good soup, but it's still really simple and will turn out infinitely better than anything that comes in a can.

I make soup probably twice a month, all different kinds. Chicken soup, italian wedding, split pea and ham, cream of broccoli, minestrone, chowder, mulligatawny, tortilla soup. I really like soup.

or minestrone, which is a hot soup but is good because you can use in season summer produce.

Drลกลฅkovรก, Zelลˆaฤka and ฤŒesneฤka are by far my favourite soups from my country. Classic and amazing Czech soups everyone should try to make or eat (ideally outside of Prague).
Outside of it I'd choose Borshch (with sour cream), Molokhiya (with a spicy tomato sauce) and Pho.

>WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SOUP?
Lobster bisque. Followed by cream of crab.

>DO YOU GO TO THE STORE TO BUY SOUP?
No. Soups in cans/jars all suck. They've been corner cut to hell to keep them cheap, so they have nothing of substance in them except salt and starch.

>HOW DO YOU MAKE SOUP?
Pot + low heat + water + stock + food items in bits + time. Same basic formula for all soups. For fancier soups, use seasoning/herbs/spices, all stock and add wine/alcohol.

The most difficult soups require making your own stocks, which is just soup itself, sans the bite sized food. Meat stocks are made with bones/meat bits and veg stock is made with veggies. You remove the contents after boiling forever and reduce down.

thai coconut soup:
-lots garlic (smash w/ skin)
-lots ginger(same)
-lots lemon grass(same)
-cilantro stem
-cut onion in half, char, then add
-carrot (just a bit, not like making usual veg/chx stock)
-celery butt (same)
-chicken bones/premade broth
-lime/lemon leaves
-cilantro stem
simmer for an hour or two, longer better as long as low heat, then strain
-add more lemongrass, crush a bit
-add more lime leaf (these two are easily avoidable when eating so I like keeping them in the pot with the eating soup)
-chankoh coco. cream
-tiny bit of maeploy red curry paste until mild-spicy
-slice carrot
-slice onion
-mushrooms
-meat (I like chicken most)
-fish sauce, sugar (palm>brown>white), lemon/lime/citrus all to taste
-cherry tomato
-green onion
-cilantro
-homemade chili sauce til spicy as wanted (I mix sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lemon/lime juice, thing slice green onion and cilantro, a metric ton of bird-eye/hawaiian chili, and fermented black crab paste)

eat with rice or potato. also add potato to soup for more hearty.

Is it possible to make borscht with just red cabbage? Does it compare to the beet version? I dont know what to do with that cabbage and its too hot for hot soup.
