Second meal after 3 day food poisoning at the hands of indians. I will lead a quiet, conservative life now

Seriously.. I tried the Marmite and believe me.. ok that contain glutammate, so it seems to taste good, but seriously, is salty as hell and taste like vegetal broth, with a little bitter in it.

If you combine vegemite, butter, and toasted black German pumpernickel bread (the dense kind that comes in little rectangles), it tastes like bacon.

Oh god man I got it bad from jeet food once. Literally the worst 2 days of my life. Constant vomiting to the point of losing my stomach lining, dehydration so bad I was delirious and hallucinating. Fucking hell that was the worst. It took me a full 2 days before I could eat anything and it was just an hot fudge sundae and I only managed to get half of it down.

The worst thing about it was the restaurant was at the end of my block and every fucking day I had to walk past it and smell it and it nearly crippled me with nausea every time.

I have managed to eat indian food again, but honestly couldn't even be in the same room for about 5 years.

I wish you all the best in your journey and many years of good health OP

I have never had food poisoning from jeet food, which honestly surprises me considering I have eaten some dodgy looking stuff from them.

curries are stewed longtime so it's not really a high risk food when it comes to noxious bacterioids. however, thurd world food handling, sanitation, and hygiene means those kitchens are absolute biohazards. thing of all the cross contamination, raw chicken leaking room temperature chicken juice onto and into everything, rats and cockroaches literally shitting, pissing, and laying eggs in food and on food preparation surfaces, things being stored improperly and for extended lengths of time, etc.

My food poisoning was so acute and presented so quickly I just know my curry somehow ended up with half a cup of raw chicken juice spilled into it or maybe lumps of human fæces stirred in

Fuck I hadn’t thought about that I’m gonna be in the same predicament. At least it’s gonna kickstart my home cooking again.

there is nothing more reassuring than getting back to basics and preparing all your food at home and in your own kitchen. pick yourself up some ice cream or something too, it'll hit the spot.
