I'd second HEB, but they have two critical issues:
>They use palm oil instead of butter for their baked goods
>They don't stock Mrs. Renfro's Habanero Salsa, the GOAT of grocery store salsas
If they rectified those two problems tomorrow, I'd never go to any other store

Piggly Wiggly is an Alabama-Wisconsin thing. Sure, they have locations in Florida but don't dominate there.

You now have Lidl in some places in the US, right.
Their frozen section seems perfect for a 4chan resident.

Vons/Safeway/Albertsons has been my tried and true all my life.

It's more expensive than others, most of the time and there are better stores I already do shop at. But these have been most ubiquitous (no kroger where I grew up) in my state and are always "nice."

Any store chain where they don't let kids in? They're utterly useless for grocery shopping and gets in the way of everyone

I love HEB but the ones near me have gone to shit, now I have to go to Central Market to escape the poors and find decent beer. I dearly miss the days when I could just pick up some Hoegaarden on the way home.

how about ones where they don't let the elderly in?
kids are nothing. olds are completely oblivious, slow af, they've got nowhere to be and assume no one else does either.

It was funny watching Winn-Dixie, after having lost most of its traditional customers to Wal-Mart Super Centers, trying to pivot to being a Jewish grocery store. They ended up going bankrupt and traded around like a passed out sorority girl after a football game. Now they're in the hands of Aldi, who is going to convert some of the stores and shut down the rest, putting an end to the Winn-Dixie nameplate forever.

I love going to the local supermarket chain whenever I go to a different part of the country. I might be autistic though. So far I think Harris Teeter was the best combination of price and size/selection
