I just do all my dishes at the end of the day. it takes like...10 minutes tops, usually. maybe a few more if I cooked something really intense. then I give the counter a quick wipe if it got dirty. anyway, I just stick some music on and get it over with. I don't understand why people act like it's some Herculean task. it doesn't take that long unless you're using a gajillion dishes to cook every day, which frankly is just unnecessary most of the time. learn to be efficient in the kitchen and you won't have that much to clean up.

I don't.

I leave it until the following morning, I think it ruins a good meal to jump up afterwards and start doing the pots.

I prefer to slump in my chair after a large feast, I will probably end up falling asleep and dribbling anyway.

fill a tub with burning hot water (it must be burning hot for the germs)
add microfibre waffle dishcloth
add a squirt of dish soap
put cutlery in the tub
rub each item clean with the dishcloth and put aside
grab handful of clean soapy cutlery and rinse under burning hot water ( or you can put them in a cup to rinse them off)
put in drying rack ( handles up knife points down)
continue with cup dish bowl one at a time
then pots pans etc
drink the dirty water at the end

Both OCD and ADHD are associated with procrastination behavior, which is how you end up a filthy kitchen and sink full of dishes. The thought of cleaning overwhelms the OCD-ADHD sufferer and causes them to put it off, creating an even bigger problem.
Whereas people with normal cognitive function can anticipate clean up and tackle it in small steps from the start. This results in a clean kitchen before you even eat your meal.

>>21419417
>unless you're using a gajillion dishes
This only happens if you are a mise en place fag or are cooking some complex shit that uses every known fucking kitchen device to make. Making one pot meals vastly drops down the amount of dishes made.

>>21419455
Yeah, food gets cold if you immediately hop to dishes. I just dump some water into the pots for soak (which lets food rest just enough to not be burn your mouth off hot), and that is it. I'll deal with it after the meal. Especially for ribs, those suckers are best hot right off the smoker.

It is the fundamental trap of procrastination
>I don't want to deal with this now
>repeat 19 more times
>suddenly 20 things that need doing
>each thing has grown worse as it was neglected
So you end up with more work that you have to take on all at once. Whereas if you just do the thing as soon as it comes up, you're in the clear. I only clean as I go because I'm lazy. Cleaning as I cook lets my future self enjoy a quiet evening, which is really what I'm after at the end of the day.

I typically let stuff such as pots and pans sit for a few days and then clean them. I'll give them a rinse or let them soak in soapy water for a night. Utensils, glasses and dishes go right into the dishwasher.

The short answer is I use a dishwasher. Longer answer is, whilst I don't quite clean most of my dishes in between cooking, I'll use running hot water (not constantly, just when I know I'll need it) in between different parts of what I'm doing to rinse and stack dishes for afterwards.

I clean everything immediately after I use it, it is actually easy that way. You are better off rinsing it while it is wet, then since it is in your hands and you are at the sink you might as well finish the job and apply dish soap, scour with the sponge then rinse off the soap.

When I was a kid, my mom used to go on angry tirades and make me feel worthless about being clean when I was a pretty damn clean kid. I remember going to my friend's and being appalled how they kept their rooms and didn't do any chores, then feeling mad as hell that my mother did all of that and said awful stuff about me to friends and family about how I'm supposedly a slob and she hates living with me. So the next time she complained about me being dirty, I told her that I'm actually a really neat person and that her putting me down hurt my feelings. She laughed at me and told me that I was delusional, so I smacked the living fuck out of her. The smack was so loud that everyone in the house heard it and she started crying. That bitch learned her fucking lesson though.
