Went through a phase a couple summers ago when I was blending up a banana / vanilla ice cream milkshake pretty much on a daily basis …. Went so hard with it I burnt out the blender, a cheap little “Hamilton beach” piece and never replaced it

We had the same blender when I was growing up.
I remember my mom would buy this powdered shit you were supposed to mix with ice and milk rather than just letting us have a normal icecream+milk milkshake.

Nope. Milkshakes were just another thing I couldn't have as a kid, because we "cant afford it". Years later I found out my parents couldve afforded everything I ever wanted.

Btw, "everything I ever wanted" was:
>milkshakes
>a Kinder Surprise egg here and there
>a gameboy advance (I still had a GBC while everyone else had a GBA)
>a really long Hot Wheels track
>some cool Hot Wheels cars
>a big box of KNEX
thats all I wanted as a kid. But I was constantly told no. It wasnt until a few years ago that I found out my parents are millionaires and they live frugally because they genuinely believe theyre poor. But I am grateful for the things they did give me.

Literally the exact same blender as mine except ours is green. Her folks left it to us. Works like a charm. Been makin' smoothies for the girls. Been using frozen fruit as a base with a fresh squeezed lemon, a little salt, some monkfruit extract, some honey and some fruit juice. Real good.

Some people think "oh, milk, and strawberries, this must be healthy because milk has vitamins and strawberries are a fruit" and they simply don't know any better. It's like the sorry diet cola chuggers. They think "oh, no sugar, all good" but little do they know the phosphoric acid is clobbering their kidneys with every litre they swallow.

The solution is to ask the Dairy Queen wagey for more milk and less ice cream, taking your milkshake to your hot summer car, and cramming it up your ass.

In a non sexual way, healthy youth have such an innate beauty. Like a team of track and field youth, or a cohort of white army cadets. All white, all fit, and all healthy. Beuatiful. It's unfortunate it's often wasted in wars.

Yeah, we’d combine ice cream and canned fruit, sometimes we’d add fresh fruit for texture, but the canned fruit was what gave the real flavor, with all that sugar. I used to love drinking the syrup when I was a kid.

I had a similar experience growing up. I had basically no possessions of my own and my mom couldn't even keep the electric on. Found out as an adult that my mom was a secretive alcoholic and drank it away or otherwise spent it all on herself. I basically never tasted food that wasn't a bologna or ramen until I could buy my own food.

I learned to cook at 16 with food I bought with birthday money from my grandparents. It's crazy to think about now. I bought groceries with my birthday money. What a life.

Lolwut? No, we weren't even allowed to have sugary cereals or ice cream in the house. Our sweets were dried fruits or dark chocolate only. We got ice cream once a year on our birthdays and that's it.
I'm really glad my mom did it this way, I never developed a sugar addiction. I have had soda maybe twice in my life and each time I found it disgusting.

lemme try and remember my pscho mom's recipe she insisted on teaching me
>strawberries, sliced & cores
>sugar, an assload
>milk, around a cup
>ice, like a tray
Shed add the rum or vodka in later. Funny because she'd only share daiquiris at restaurants where she could get caught, but not at home. Psycho
