no but some of the jars were recalled that made it to the US because the lids had arsenic in them. Alot of people did not send them back though and due to the long ass shelf life they may still be out there so be careful

I bought some because a friend was pooping his pants over this.
Ive only used it in white rice. Its alright. I have no idea what else id use this crap for.
