when i was a kid i used to visit my grandparents in the town of like 250 people they lived in and the general store was a wooden shack with cows out back that made their own icecream and was also the post office and sold pig sacks of animal feed and had penny candy bins and my grandma would give me and my brother a quarter each and let us go pick TWENTY FIVE FUCKING CANDIES EACH we usually just went for sour patch kids and swedish fish tho this was in like 1999. went back as a geriatric 30 year old and they still had the penny candy bins and the old lady at the counter knew exactly who i was even though i hand been there in 25 years truly jarring will never go back
