the truth is, this soup is better than ramen, pho, curry or whatever else is out there. its literally the healthiest, most filing, most satisfying, spiciest, soup that exists.
>>21423122 (OP) I really like it, yeah. Soup made with sauerkraut is also really yymmy. The acidity from the kimchi makes it really addictive and delicious.
>>21423122 (OP) Too much garlic. All Korean food stinks of garlic and sesame oil, it's putrid. An assault on the senses. I much prefer the light delicate aromas of Japanese cuisine. Japan is a much more refined and sophisticated culture than Korea.
Korea doesn't have a culture, save for being rape meat

That's why they let their captain crash an airplane into a fucking mountain killing literally all of them because they can't speak up, right

>>21423561 >who like to laugh and have a good time but theyโre tough as hell and they wonโt back down from anything when threatened. Koreans do indeed possess a marked sanguine & choloric disposition when compared to their neighbors, which may be superficially exciting. They lack, however, a depth of contemplation that may only result from reticent modesty. None of these singular aspects may be regarded as superior in this case, but rather a more prudently balanced demeanor is to be admired.
I was skeptical at first because it's tofu and doesn't look that great. However I'm glad I tried it. The silken tofu really works in there, and the broth tastes amazing despite being quite lean. I still go back to that place once in a while. But I got lucky since the first one I tried was really good. I've since tried it at many other places and it's really hit and miss. Sometimes it's a complete afterthought where they just throw random tofu and kimchi in a broth. Other times they clearly try, but it's not that great. So I always go back to that 1 place.
>>21425864 agreed. you pretty much have to go to a place that specializes in it, otherwise its usually some some watery garbage. there should at least be 1 full page of the menu specifically for soondubu. it sucks that sometimes places that have really good soup have subpar side dishes. ive definitely come to treasure when a place has both.

>>21423122 (OP) Can we make it less oriental, no raw tamago, and use cajun spice instead so we can rake money?? I admit the yolk is very visually appealing so we have to brainstorm the replacement asap. How about sourcream?? Too on the nose? Melting cheese? Too gimmicky? Cottage cheese? Any ideas are welcome.
Could never get my korean strews to taste like the restaurant. Used a bit of this and the flavor was perfect. Common cooking staple in korean households.
>>21425993 I bet some Korean entrepreneur is actually considering putting cheese in this for memetic marketing purposes >>21423530 Japan uses too much mirin, everyone has their vices

>>21423122 (OP) I tried reading the name and a lightning bolt struck outside my window.
>>21423122 (OP) Wrong, it's not the healthiest at all and not filling since this is a side you consume along your main course. There are bigger bowls of korean noodle soups that are an actual entree, healthier, and filling. >>21423561 Just because you can't taste fish, doesn't mean it isn't there. A lot of Japanese and Korean broth bases are from a mix of kelp, dried fish, and mushrooms.
>>21429718 >this is a side you consume along your main course If you look on google maps, there are restaurants centered around this dish in Korea (and any other place that has korean food). It is served with rice and your typical Banchan sides, making it a complete meal. The tiny bowls you get at some restaurants as a side are usually a shitty afterthought and not that good in the first place.

>>21429718 lol. you know nothing of korean cuisine if you think soondubu is a side dish. at the very closest it can come as a set with a smaller size and meat, but all my favorite places serve it as a main entree (you get all the banchan when you order it) and most of the places i go to advertise it as the main course.

>>21430233 >lol fuck off gaijin child molester Does anyone else remember when 4chan was THE place to get child porn? I mean, there was literally no board that wasn't spammed back in the first couple of years with child pornography.
>>21430315 >please kill yourself Why should I kill myself just because I happened to mention that you are a member of a set of boards where child molesters have posted pictures of themselves raping kids? Dense cunts like you are why some of have a very low opinion of this site.
>>21430332 Okay, I will stop telling the truth about how 4chan was the most notorious child pornography distribution network in the early 2000's. This is my last post about it. Anyone who quotes me from this point forward is just trying to being a white knight. On 4chan. Where everyone hates girls and is an incel.
>>21430338 >That was never true. You're a zoomer who read a wikipedia article. Why can't you talk about soup instead of trying to tell everyone you are "not" a child molester? You wouldn't need to gaslight me into believing a false reality if you were innocent.

You people are the fucking worst. Not just defending child pornography, but actually talking about how you think people should be tortured and killed for calling you out on your participation in it.
crian soups are so fucking flavourless. the last time I bought one a couple years ago the broth was blood red and tasted like nothing, and the soup ingredients are always random twigs and berries and shit and half if it is hard to tell if it's even edible or not. it's like woodchips and splinters alonside snots and scabs
>tofu no >spiciest, soup that exists spicy soups are fucking atrocious, because the spice overpowers the rest of the taste with ease asians restrict themselves to noodle soups and when they don't, it usually is bad eastern europeans have the best soups out of human-friendly vegetables
>>21432354 you don't like asian soups because they aren't full of butter and cream and fat like eastern european soups and that's okay, though i doubt you've actually tasted the soups you talk about.
>>21432354 >asians restrict themselves to noodle soups lol retarded mutt. every standard korean meal consists of rice and soup, which contains no noodles.

>>21432474 >but they are. they're the creamy oily stuff. you're exposing yourself as a korean recluse weeb >there's no one Korean soup, lol. there isn't of course all asians soups are made of trash due to how poor asian countries are. There are no vegetables, there is only boilable shit like crap mushroom that they can find on hand. By definition they can't be good it's not something "bad" per se, they're trying to make it good with what they have, but the trash that asians have on hand generally doesn't make for good ingredients
>>21432484 >no vegetables now you're getting frustrated at losing the argument and just making stuff up. let's not act like you've actually experience in a diverse range of soups.
>>21432498 baby gay, branding all european soups as "creamy oily stuff" is something that a person with no experience in real soups would have I admit that I don't have a real experience with """""korean soups""""", but that's simply because you can't find them anywhere in US, since "korean" restaurants in US means "grill", that's probably because korean soups are so good that everyone's hiding them from everyone
>>21432511 >creamy oily stuff because it is. look at all this non-oily veg-heavy "eastern european" soups! anyway thanks for admitting you're a fat retarded mutt whose experience in food is eating out at restaurants and this board, and you're a retard, i'm satisfied. bye.
>>21432519 >a spoon of generic smetana is oily come on now, this just exposes your asian lactose intolerance continue eating your shit soups that are spicy enough to obscure the shit ingredients I guess, but shut up about those trash soups being """"""the best"""""" at anything
