What are your favorite hard-to-find sodas? I canโt get this stuff anywhere except at one Uzbek grocery store.
>>21424165 (OP)Why not just drink orange juice and add sodium bicarbonate? Orange juice is naturally acidic so there is not much work to carbonate it
>>21424165 (OP)Fuck you, OP! Now I'm craving Orangina.
>>21424171Because that tastes like poopshits.
I mix orange juice concentrate with soda water instead of plain water, though. No added sugar and it tastes nice.
>>21424165 (OP)A few local stores had these dewberry sodas last year and I've not seen them since.
Last time I saw this was at a World Market in West Hartford, CT, years ago.
>>21424335that stuffs blueberry one fuckin rocks
>>21424347This one is very easy to make homemade. Boil together 1/4cup sugar per quart of water, add some washed spruce tips or white pine needles, put in fermentation grade bottles and wait a few days.
>>21425261yeah I'll get right on that
>>21424165 (OP)Shit's pretty good. Here in the middle of Nowhere, PA, only the Italian specialty shop carries it.
>>21425435Why the f are you lying? I know it's not available there because I live there. 'People' like you destroy the integrity of this place you fucking imbecile. Stupid ape.
>>21424165 (OP)Only soda without shitty sweetener, I will finally be free of the sugary crap once they inevitably change the recipe.
>>21424165 (OP)This stuff is everywhere in Europe.
>>21424165 (OP)weird now that you mention it i never see this shit anywhere anymore, used to be all the hip cafes stocked it and you could get it with the fancy glass bottle juice at the grocery store
for me its pic related, luckily the grocery near me started stocking it and my favorite rare yogurt recently, truly i am blessed
>>21425669Huh, where do you live that Schweppes is a rarity?
>>21424165 (OP)Someone post the hot cheeta girl
>>21426043Haven't seen that in years, gud stuff.
>>21425698Not her, but it's specifically the bitter lemon.
Theirs is the best bitter lemon soda around and it's extremely uncommon. Everyone's got that other brand (which shall remain nameless) in 1litre bottles but no one has the cans of Schweppes anymore.
>>21425698here in clapistan we only make scheweppes club soda, tonic and ginger ale. you can get the ginger ale in a couple of different flavors but that's it. bitter lemon and orange dry are god tier gin mixers but you can only find them in import groceries at a dumb markup, i buy the 1.5L bottles for like $5 apiece. the lemon fanta they distribute in the balkans is really good too, sour lemon soda and carbonated juice drinks just never got a hold here for whatever reason
try two parts orange juice with pulp and one part ginger ale and you can make something pretty close to orangina
it could be two parts ginger ale and one part orange juice. i forget. we used to do it in the college cafeteria soda machine
>>21424165 (OP)Hey cool, an excuse to post this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxBuly8Vblc
Does Hires root beer still exist? Haven't seen it since the soda fountain in my college cafeteria, 1998-2002.
>>21426723Mi fa cosรฌ talmente schifo che solo per vedere la bottiglia mi fa venire il voltastomaco. Bleah.
turns out the Speedway by my work has Pitch Black mountain dew in the fountain soda
and the guy there frequents my work so when i go in he always gives me it for free
pitch black was always superior to baja blast but for some fucking reason even though it was already available at taco bell they put it in cans and bottles and 2 liters
moxie is a close second
>>21426482>carbonated juice drinks just never got a hold here for whatever reasonExcepting black women, particularly old ones, Americans don't like actual fruit outside of pies and cobblers where they're blasted with so much sugar that it kinda renders their natural taste paradoxically muted. From my experience living this side of the pond, you people like "fruit flavour" far more than actual fruit.
>>21426837E meglio dendr'una canneta
>>21424165 (OP)Every time I go to croatia I drink gallons of this stuff
It's so perfect.
I wasn't even aware it's not elsewhere in the world.
>>21424165 (OP)The red 'blood orange' Orangina is 10x better than the yellow one, it's really bland in comparison.
Available in every store that isn't LIDL or ALDI
>>21426965Every supermarket in Europe sells it champ.
>>21426966Chinotto https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinotto_(drink). It's something old Italian people drink.
I have 5 bottles sealed of pic related hoping one day some millennial/gen x/LA Knight retard gets nostalgic for it and is willing to put down like 10k for it
>>21426822Nope. Dr. Pepper owns the rights to it but they also own the rights to A&W so they axed Hires and just sell A&W now.
>>21427002One of the best soft drinks in the world
>>21424230>soda>waterYou kids and your contradictions
>>21427322Your mother and her cock-addictions.
>>21425437Gettin' a little hot, for a minor joke. There's no Nowhere PA listed on a map.
>>21424165 (OP)I just spent a bunch of money on SKI
and by bunch of money I mean something that won't effect me at all.
>>21426822Sort of, you can still buy a root beer extract but I'm not sure if the recipe has changed any.
https://hiresbigh.com/
>>21427975Spend some on english lessons
>>21428026Fuck you, I enjoy the flavor of Ski and I can't wait to try their cherry ski and cola. Sorry that you are poor and can't spent one hundred and seventy-seven United States dollars on something that you just discovered that you love.
>>21428044I am, I didn't realize that my 12th grade English teacher was going to be in here critiquing my written words on a humble Sri Lankan marine biology forum.

>>21424335Huh. I saw Cheerwine in a World Market once, but almost never since then. Oddly addictive even if it tastes a little like cough syrup
>>21430762No, what I said was correct.
>>21427412Your mum's obsession with my penis
>>21424165 (OP)Where I am in Canada most shit is obnoxiously hard to find or gets discontinued too fast. Any time they bring back a Vanilla Coke, Lime Pepsi etc. after years they only exclusively offer it as diet/zero sugar version, or do some nonsense where they only offer it in single plastic bottles or a 6-pack of tiny 222ml cans that you can barely wash down a meal with instead of full-size 12 packs.
Also I'm just finding out that Barq's root beer got discontinued here last year and now there's nothing but Mug piss and A&W way-too-sweet shit. I hate living here.
>>21426822They sell it up here but only in single cans as an alcoholic drink.
In terms of stuff I can get but the price is exorbitant, I sorta like Irn Bru
In terms of way harder to get than it should be and I won't pay the premium, a lot of US flavors that somehow don't get imported over the Canadian border (even before all the trade war BS)
In terms of stuff that's actually borderline impossible to get, I like Mitsuya Cider and I wouldn't mind being able to get Ironbeer but you basically have to live in Miami to get it
>>21431217>Where I am in Canadausually I order limited edition items from amazon, or get in your car and travel to the usual big box stores a greater distance for the occasional walmart or costco stock up runs. Both tend to do limited editions first. Then, when you realize that Vanilla Coke is back, you'll actually buy 2 or more cases of it for your house. Then, dole it out only to honored guests who appreciate it as much as you do.
OP, I haven't seen Orangina in years
>>21431217>Barq's root beer got discontinued here last yearwell shit. I haven't seen that in US stores in forever, either. it used to be the very best commonly-available brand when I was a kid, it actually did have bite. fuck
>>21431536just got an 8pk in the ETHNIC FOODS aisle in connecticut and it was $7.99
that's not bad
>>21433392wait fuck it might have been a 6 pack. either way still fine for irn bru, which is good because it has way less sugar than most sodas
Funny story.
Company was broken up, so the soda isn't the same any more. The Uzbecs get it from iran where it's very popular, and that's also why the import is wierd.
Eurasia is wierd because they get stock standard Russian food, because they don't manufacture much, but also fresh food from Turkey and artisan goods from Cyprus, Lebanon, Georgia, all kinds of wierd places. And I'm going to be real, Ukbek people still don't really know what to do with any of the wierd imports.

Basically any grape soda in my country, sometimes I'll get lucky and find grape ramune in asian supermarkets but that's about it, I miss this delicious chemical taste
>>2142712815 or so years ago, Arizona put out a chocolate soda for a summer and it was delectable. I've been trying to get that feeling back ever since.
>>21436505Found a pic. It was like liquid tootsie rolls.
