What are your favorite hard-to-find sodas? I canโ€™t get this stuff anywhere except at one Uzbek grocery store.

Why not just drink orange juice and add sodium bicarbonate? Orange juice is naturally acidic so there is not much work to carbonate it

I mix orange juice concentrate with soda water instead of plain water, though. No added sugar and it tastes nice.

Not her, but it's specifically the bitter lemon.
Theirs is the best bitter lemon soda around and it's extremely uncommon. Everyone's got that other brand (which shall remain nameless) in 1litre bottles but no one has the cans of Schweppes anymore.

here in clapistan we only make scheweppes club soda, tonic and ginger ale. you can get the ginger ale in a couple of different flavors but that's it. bitter lemon and orange dry are god tier gin mixers but you can only find them in import groceries at a dumb markup, i buy the 1.5L bottles for like $5 apiece. the lemon fanta they distribute in the balkans is really good too, sour lemon soda and carbonated juice drinks just never got a hold here for whatever reason

Excepting black women, particularly old ones, Americans don't like actual fruit outside of pies and cobblers where they're blasted with so much sugar that it kinda renders their natural taste paradoxically muted. From my experience living this side of the pond, you people like "fruit flavour" far more than actual fruit.

Where I am in Canada most shit is obnoxiously hard to find or gets discontinued too fast. Any time they bring back a Vanilla Coke, Lime Pepsi etc. after years they only exclusively offer it as diet/zero sugar version, or do some nonsense where they only offer it in single plastic bottles or a 6-pack of tiny 222ml cans that you can barely wash down a meal with instead of full-size 12 packs.

Also I'm just finding out that Barq's root beer got discontinued here last year and now there's nothing but Mug piss and A&W way-too-sweet shit. I hate living here.

In terms of stuff I can get but the price is exorbitant, I sorta like Irn Bru
In terms of way harder to get than it should be and I won't pay the premium, a lot of US flavors that somehow don't get imported over the Canadian border (even before all the trade war BS)
In terms of stuff that's actually borderline impossible to get, I like Mitsuya Cider and I wouldn't mind being able to get Ironbeer but you basically have to live in Miami to get it

usually I order limited edition items from amazon, or get in your car and travel to the usual big box stores a greater distance for the occasional walmart or costco stock up runs. Both tend to do limited editions first. Then, when you realize that Vanilla Coke is back, you'll actually buy 2 or more cases of it for your house. Then, dole it out only to honored guests who appreciate it as much as you do.

Funny story.
Company was broken up, so the soda isn't the same any more. The Uzbecs get it from iran where it's very popular, and that's also why the import is wierd.

Eurasia is wierd because they get stock standard Russian food, because they don't manufacture much, but also fresh food from Turkey and artisan goods from Cyprus, Lebanon, Georgia, all kinds of wierd places. And I'm going to be real, Ukbek people still don't really know what to do with any of the wierd imports.
