The Swiss add potatoes to their pasta and eat it with apple sauce.
Post pasta dishes from outside Italy.
>>21424408 (OP)>The Swiss add potatoes to their pasta and eat it with apple sauce. Then the Swiss are retarded.
>>21424408 (OP)Koshari. My Egyptian neighbor taught me how to make this. It's kind of involved but so good.
Spaghetti pizza from the Stonington Pizza Place in Stonington, CT. This is American, not Italian.
>>21424424It looks like shit. You didn't have to tell us it's American.
>>21424408 (OP)My wife grew up with keema macaroni. It's basically Indian bolognese except with elbow mac
Hungarians eat spaghetti with a sauce made of carrots, parsnips, celeriac, parsley root and onion, boiled, pureed smooth and reduced to thicken. Look up vadas spagettivel.

There's a Hong Kong style cafe near me called Kong Sihk Tong and they have a ton of interesting pasta dishes.
My favorites are a baked pork chop / chicken chop with spaghetti in a spiced tomato sauce, and their take on the Japanese "spaghetti napolitan".
>>21424453yeah I think Asia has some interesting ones
>>21424424>>21424442The French Canadians are claiming pizzaghetti.
>>21425329Eh, big deal. I've seen it in central Illinois too.

Here's a recipe from Oscar Mayer that I think deserves consideration.
>>21425329In Quebec pizzaghetti is usually just a personal pizza cut apart with a portion of spaghetti in the middle, bolognese or generic meat sauce. Not a pizza with spaghettis as a topping.
>>21424408 (OP)Japan loves their cod roe pasta.
My favorite pasta recipe of all time
Brown 1lb ground beef, skim off any excess fat or moisture,
add 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
add 1/2 of soup can whole milk
(optional) add more canned sliced or chopped mushrooms
simmer till all nice and hot, salt and pepper to taste
serve over noodles of choice
I always want to try San Franciso Garlic Noodles. It is my dream to ride the trains like a hobo across the country and eat the local delicacies along the way and get blackout drunk on gas station beer every night. One day I will do this journey.
>Garlic noodles, also known as San Francisco-style garlic noodles, are a popular dish that originated in San Francisco, California. Created by Chef Helene An in 1975, the dish is known for its rich garlic flavor and has become a signature offering at Thanh Long, a Vietnamese restaurant located in the city.
>The dish blends Vietnamese and Italian culinary techniques, featuring ingredients such as roasted garlic, AN's Secret Sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, butter, and Parmesan cheese.
American Chop Suey, a New England fixture.
SE Asia: Spaghetti Sambal Matah
Basically spaghetti or any pasta, with fresh sambal (raw chilies, garlic, onion, herbs) and fried chicken, prawns or fish
There is also a creamy version (yuck)
apparently this is a popular breakfast item in Hong Kong restaurants
>>21425628Yeah we have places in Chinatown here that do meat/egg in macaroni soup like that. I've had it. The broth is very light, it's... fine, nothing to go out of your way for, but not as revolting as you'd think.
>>21425361I tried Betty Crocker's Swedish meatball recipe and it was awful, like a thoroughly half-assed beef stroganoff.
>>21425628>>21425637Had something like this in Singapore. Chinese seem to like elbow pasta for some reason.
>>21424408 (OP)CIS countries: makaroni po flotski.
The old school way: tushonka (corned beef) and pasta. Optional salt and pepper.
The newer healthy way: pasta, ground beef, onions, garlic, carrots, maybe a grated tomato but NOT a tomato base.

>>21425536Looks like what midwesterners call goulash, which is basically macaroni cooked in meat and tomato sauce. Some people add peas and top it with shredded cheddar cheese.

Fine, if you all wanna be snobs and not post the most obvious and best answer,
FACT filipinos have the MOST POWERFUL spaghetti in the world
>>21428115>bestI think you meant 'most childish'
>>21428407by pasta i mean dishes with italian noodles
Does spaetzle count as pasta? I like to have it with some beef goulash. I get it from the German deli.
North africans eat pasta like their couscous. I tried it once , it would be god tier if they cooked it al dente but they have the habbit of overcooking everything and not just pasta.
>>21428909Sounds much better than the usual sandy-feeling couscous garbage

Schinken Sahne Nudeln
German ghetto carbonara
Fry ham
Add onions and garlic (if you're fancy)
Add cream and/or milk (add a flour slurry if using only milk)
Add undercooked noodles and frozen peas (or skip the peas)
Salt, black or white pepper and muscat to taste.
>>21428520But Anon, Italian noodles came from Chinese noodles.
>>21429938this. idk why Italians are so smug about their pasta when it literally came from China.
>>21429161That's just boscaiola con panna. Common Italian dish.
>>21429977uhhh, can i get a source? peer-reviewed, of course.

i'm strapped as fuck for time to cook lately, this sounds really good with some more vegetables added. thanks bro
>>21426634poflotski is one if the few forms of pasta i care for. tushonka with kasha is transcendent
>>21429161>>21429981is THIS where trailer trash hotdog and peas carbonara has its roots? peas are the common denominator in american carbonara. it can be made with any pork product, any pasta and any cheese sauce. lived with a japanese dude who was autistically obsessed with italian cuisine and loved to piss him off by telling him carbonara requires peas. i made a flavor blasted american version with bacon, peas, cream, egg yolks, pecorino and a bunch of black pepper and served it to him and he said it was really good and better than his even but i could get fucked for calling it carbonara. engineers are weird

The Swiss literally eat cats and dogs.
