Squash minced beef with salt/pepper into thin patties
Slice two circles of onion
Put patties on stove until browned both sides (i like simply dropping into medium high heat with butter, smashed is good too but creates smoke & bother)
Sauce both sides of bun
Stack two patties per bun alternatively with burger cheese sliceS
Place sliced onion on top and then bun
You can also fry the buns in butter, or put them in air fryer for 30s, also add lettuce, tomato, whatever
You have just made burgers that will compete with literally any chain and it takes ten minutes
