You have to go to some serious lengths and literally never take a break to permanently damage your liver.
I've gone on benders and binge drank regularly, like nearly daily for years regularly, serious enough to lose a job and marriage over it - went to a doc recently because that's what you do when you hit your thirties, got some bloodwork done and it was like fine. Zero liver trouble.

This isn't smoking, it isn't a one-way street for your liver.

It's very boring. Not a whole lot going on flavor-wise. It's very sweet, uninteresting bourbon for normies/NPCs who care more about "smoothness" than flavor.
>I've had Wild Turkey which was a bit too alcoholic for me but also uncomfortably sweet.
Wild Turkey is significantly sweeter.
Bourbon may not be for you, as Wild Turkey is not on the sweet side of bourbons.
You may wish to try a very high rye bourbon like Old Grand-Dad 114. If that's too sweet for you, then bourbon just isn't for you.

Fortified wines, sure. Everyone likes a good tawny. Everything else, not sold on, even compared to beer.
Not liking beer I can understand, but not liking beer but then (generally) liking wine is a mystery, that's just like sharper beer. Liquor, definitely packs a punch if you drink it straight, also an acquired taste - but most people don't so it's just like fortified wine when mixed, you get improved cola.

Like I'll drink wine, I'll drink anything, but in terms of taste I've never understood preferring an average beer or an average wine, wine if anything seems like more of an acquired taste.

It's a TERRIBLE mixing bourbon because its mash bill is low rye. The best mixing bourbons are high rye bourbons as the rye can stand out in a mix.

I disagree that rye is the only thing that tastes good about whiskey. Corn wheat and malt barley all can make a fine drink. Buf trace is the best mixer because it’s 90 vs the avg 80 and the extra 10 proof makes in punch more than a jack and coke. If I wanted rye I’d mix old forester rye at 100 its quite tasty as a mix

I don't deny the pricing exists, simply that's about as low as it COULD reasonably be.

Buffalo Trace is about as "fancy" as Old Crow.

And though I'll drink any whiskey (particularly if it's free) copiously, Buffalo Trace is pretty much the most basic and un-nuanced bourbon that exists.

Get some Maker's Mark, Bulleit, or Woodford; instead.
