Dollar general has destroyed the grocery market in the small towns that poster is talking about. Dollar general absolutely sells block cheese. It's not GOOD cheese but it's also not shredded and coated in anti caking agents.

Even Walmart sells ok Cheese along the shredded and velveta crap.

The shredded cheese and slices hang in bags on display hooks, the blocks of cheese are below on a refrigerated case or on a shelf. Is that hard to do? Nope. There tends to be a separate section somewhere else in the store like near the deli counter, sometimes, and this section might have blue and brie, and some imported wedges. It can be in both places, really, just know there are 2 areas most of the time, for those building charcuterie spreads or making special recipes like raclete or whatever. There might be pub cheese, pimento cheese in a tub, or crumbles of feta and blue near the salad kits, as well, like in the separate fresh produce area, near the refrigerated cold dressings like ranch or yogurt things. I like the dill pickle dip from marzetti or spicy hummus with carrots and mini cukes.

Hell, at my store the pre-packaged slices/shreds from the big brands are all over in a refrigerated display next to the pre-packaged deli meats.

Actual cheese has its own section next to the deli meats (not prepackaged)
