do you prefer your general /tso/s with or without broccoli? Making it right now and not using broccoli because i dont have any. i think no broccoli is ok as long as you get your daily requirements for veggies and fiber somewhere else during the day.

I always get General Tsoโ€™s tofu but I ask for no veggies and then I get more tofu. The vegetables are always gross anyways.

The broccoli is usually a pairing for "orange chicken" or beef, different sauce and recipe.
Green onion topping. You can mix up the recipes of kung pao and general tso's and add peanuts or cashews, if you wish, though. Crunch can also be added by opening up a can of sliced water chestnuts (drain and use 1/2). Bell peppers fit too, as do dried chilies.

i made it today actaully. my sauce wasnt sweet or thick/sticky enough tho. still tasted pretty good. didnt have any broccoli so i didnt use any.
