90 minutes isn't long enough to make it spoil that fast. i recently had pasteurized milk that was spoiled long before the expiration date, it tasted like skunked beer almost. sometimes it's just not handled properly. contamination is possible especially if it's raw but it could've not been chilled fast enough after milking or their own equipment isn't working properly or anything like that.

Some form of bacteria that was present on ze udders ended up in your milk and started fermenting it and consumed the milk sugars and multipled as they do since your walk home probably held it at the ideal temp for them to grow, non issue food safety wise but throw a cold pack in your bag or whatever you use to transport it home to avoid this issue if you want to preserve the flavor of your milky

First of all, maybe take the bus or taxi on grocery days. Walking 90 mins??? Also have insulated bags to keep food cold. Cold items do better in paper bags too.

The store is crap, and you should return the milks as expired before the date. I'll tell you how it happened.
They are delivered to the back of the store entrance by the dairy and either someone came in late, left it out in the open or hot sun too long or didn't answer the doorbell immediately upon delivery. Or they delayed getting it put away to rearrange and make space, or do some other task. It had thawed and warmed up before you bought it. Imagine you left it out on your own countertop, oops, one morning and then discovered your mistake at lunchtime before you put it back in the fridge, so yes, it'll expire sooner. Raw milk is stupid. I bet you get a stomachache. There should never be a 10 day expiration date for unpastuerized milk...that's also utterly wrong.

How do YOU explain the correctly dated milk is already bad? Mystery unsolved?

The moment this happens to me in my long long life, I go and return it. If or when I ask to speak the manager, they'll either act surprised and in denial, but it'll NEVER happen again there, or they tell me a sob story about the freezer broke down last week but got repaired or else admit the mistake they already knew about but were too cheap to pull the stock off the shelves OR it happens over and over, at that store... and you will have to shop elsewhere.
My dad before me, taught me that if you drive around the back of stores before you move to the front, and park out front, you'll eventually get an idea how they do things there, because you'll see the plastic milk crates stacked out back. To this day, I also do the same thing at a new restaurant to see if they keep their door standing open out back, as a matter of fact.

It just happens sometimes. From what I can tell, expiration is generally a guess. I mean, they put that shit on bottles of water for fuck's sake.
While I've had similar experience to what you're describing happen to me before where milk goes off before it's set to (and we legit have 2 gallons of whole milk in the house right now so I'm knocking on wood to stave off the sour milk faerie), my most recent experience with this phenomenon of expiry guesswork was a gallon of whole I bought on deep discount the day of expiration last month. It was good for several days after expiration, long enough for us to work through the gallon happily.

Raw milk doesn't go bad you fucking idiot it sours and you can consume that you dumb fucking Anti raw shill
The mechanism is that the bacteria that forms when it sours crowds out any other potentially harmful bacteria, there's no space for anything bad to develop

90 minutes for only 2 bottles 20 minutes for the other two bottles.
I already turned the milk into squeaky cheese and one bottle exploded .
You're probably right about the store leaving it out that's the only logical situation.
I did NOT leave the milk out and haven't in years

I've also had milk from two different places, publix and IGA over the past few months and the gallons have steadily been getting worse for expiration. No fridge issues and they start smelling sour just a few days in. I don't know if it's a widespread issue but I don't think it's anything I'm doing. My best guess is the past few months being stupidly hot is fucking the temperatures up during delivery/stocking.

The entire batch was left out for too long before being put into cold storage. I routinely see chilled goods left out on pallets in the fridge aisles. On a couple of occasions I've even seen frozen goods. And this trend seems to continue, due to hypermarkets cutting personnel numbers.
