This is plato del Dia at any Costa Rica soda and the rice isn't fried. I'll get mine with an Agua fresca tamarindo, por favor. Should have gotten platanos instead of the frijoles negros as well.

seaweed soup (doesn't contain natto or other japanese stuff though) with minced pork, ginger. sometimes tey put other stuff in it too.

the small plate is crispy fried chicken skin. it's way better than mcdonald slops I guarantee. the little seasoning bowl is some sweet-spicy-sour sauce. they always make it too sweet though. no wonder why obesity is the #1 disease in modern world

the only downside of eating dishes like this is there's a very tiny chance that the the oil they used come from the gutter.
