Buying a 2Kg bag of wings. plan to blanch them in salt water, then cut them up with a cleaver and use them as a soup base. corn is cheap, potatoes are cheap, salt, pepper, toast a bag of stale bread.

I've been eating banana pancakes lately. Get some cheap bananas, old brown-black stuff is the best, blend it with milk and flour and then just fry it on the pan. The end result is sweet and filling.

Why do poorfag meals on here always look like something a talentless neckbeard threw together? Beans are pennies a can and bags of potatoes are cheap and filling. Eat real food you faggots.

Do you add baking powder or use self rising flour or what? Do they puff or do they come out flat?

I've been doing a sort of perpetual rice stir fry kinda deal.
>make 4 portions of rice, stir fry it with your selection of veggies and proteins
>over the next few day, refry the leftover portions, adding a bit more new veggies and proteins every time

one of my favorites is stewed chickpeas with chicken, from mark bittman's how to cook everything. I make it without the chicken to be easier. it's mostly chickpeas with canned tomato and some vegetables, cumin and coriander etc.

I also really like indian basmati rice. the big 20 lb bag extra long dry aged. It tastes good just heating some butter and cardamom, cloves, bay leaf and salt before adding the rice. also chicken tikka masala (swasthi's recipes) but it's a lot more work.

any pasta
roasted chicken parts
sausage gravy. any milk + flour sauce is easy.

I used to keep a pot of soup going. Just took whatever I had and kept adding to it as I ate it down. Went about 6 months eating on the "same pot." Sometimes it had meat, always chicken, but it was usually just starch and veg.

Find what wildlife your local area permits you to hunt. When I was homeless I got about a dozen coyotes and rabbits per week I'd sell to a guy. Not exactly an answer to the topic but I'm sure you could find out how to properly prepare that sort of thing.

i am the king of this shit. growing up i would call them "broke nigga delights".

broke nigga nachos:
lay saltine crackers flat on a plate (or doritos if it's the 1st of the month)
fold imitation cheese in half until it is a bunch of squares and spread evenly throughout the top of the saltines, this can be layered many times.
microwave until imitation cheese gets warm (it does not melt)

idk what to call this 1:
put frozen chicken patties in the toaster until cooked and crispy
use chicken patties as bun replacement
put cheese or condiments in between

quick rib stir fry
get some packet rice and cook that shit
put it in the hot pan after it is done cooking in the microwave
microwave some quick ribs and cut them into small pieces and then stir fry with the rice

food basket thursday:
avoid the pastries. they always have mold on them. the bread usually does too.

How about casseroles? They're really versatile and can be made from anything. You just need a protein, vegetables, a carb, a sauce, and a crunchy topping (optional). You bake them together so that the liquid is redistributed, the flavors meld, the entire thing consolidates, and the top gets crusty. They're easy to throw together/prepare ahead of time and use just one pan.

Are you seriously so poor you can afford pasta, minced meat, an onion, a carrot and a jar of pasta sauce? Stop buying scratch off tickets and get a job.
