Japanese food does not have much taste compared to American food. The tastier Japanese foods are adoptions or fusions with other cultures.
The sushi is light and rich, miso is salty water, tempura shrimp are texture cleanser, and the pickled vegetables are a refreshing acidic flavor. Good meal for a date, women like sushi because it is cute with oriental exoticness.
Genuinely liking anything Japanese is hard. Too much nippon inflation because of weebs and coomers.
