Went to the park today and spotted this public grill. Given their reputation I checked it out to see how bad it was but was somewhat pleasantly surprised. Obviously a bit tarnished but the seperate adjustable height grilling surfaces is a nice feature that you rarely see on most grills in my experience. Well located also, right outside the indoor space you can rent out for events with good seating

Anyways, this is the only board that would even vaguely care about this topic, but has anyone else seen any public grills that seemed nicer that the usual trash-tier ones?

Before you cook anything on one clean it by soaking a folded paper towel with some vegetable oil and dragging it over the grate a couple times when it's hot. Nobody really fucks with these, that's schizo paranoia/projection, but birds and squirrels definitely run around and sometimes poo on them.

I'll admit it, that does look a lot more comfortable to shit on than an American park toilet. And gas heat is so much easier to control, you can get a nice heated seat without burning yourself.

But if you're laying some real thick logs, that shallow toilet bowl probably gets full quick, and then you're squidging around in your own foul leavings..... whereas the American grills allows the feces to cleanly drop down onto a German-style stool inspection shelf.

I have a negative opinion of these grills because the people that use them leave fucking trash everywhere. People who own a portable grill seem to be more prepared and respectful of the space.
