I ate 5 crushed cloves at once because of the health benefits or something and the next thing I knew I had collapsed in my bathroom with one hand in the toilet. Took a few months until I could fully enjoy garlic again.

I eat it all the time. If you want it to be gentler on your tongue/mouth, what i do is i peel it and leave it out for 10-15 minutes. Itll be milder that way.

I eat raw garlic cloves when I make green beans, I eat them with cow milk feta cheese and garlic cloves on the side.

Green beans are made into a light stew with a little bit of tomato sauce, garlic, onion and carrots.

Try a fresh carolina reaper. They are super spicy, but unlike a lot of other hot peppers the heat goes away quickly instead of lingering on your tongue for hours.
If you're too much of a pussy or your local grocery stores don't stock them because your local population is too much of a pussy, just get habaneros.
If your local store doesn't have habaneros then consider suicide

I use a microplane on garlic and put it in dips

there are other varieties of garlic that are more pungent. In romania they mash spicy garlic up and serve it with steak

My high school chemistry teacher would eat raw onion and mustard on white bread sandwiches.
He died of cancer like 15 years ago.

It can kill a cold dead if you catch it early enough. Otherwise it doesn't do much.
