Is this the most depressing most crappiest food in the world?

As an Asian/Indian I'm born and forced to eat this CRAP FUCKING SLAVESLOP DAILY!

no matter what condiment or sauce you add it always tastes the same : like shit. Why? Cause you eat it everyday.

I can't escape my culture either. I'm too pussy to stop eating this because as much as I hate it, my body is addicted to the unique energy it gives. Bread doesn't cut it.

But I feel so low and depressed like a cow chewing on grass eating this SHIT.

Anyway I'm not asking advice but thanks for reading my depression rant or whatever. God I fucking hate this crap but I need it like a drug. I hate Asian life so much.

It is so laborious and timestaking chewing these fucking SEEDS wtf man. Hell on earth.

i was raised on spicy slops and rice as well and take great satisfaction in biting into whole meats and vegetables raw or just blanched in water. i love to bite and chew and destroy things with my teeth, i enjoy having unique textures, firmness and identifiable forms to what i am eating. havent cooked rice in about seven years

I cook it. You still have to chew it more than bread. These are hard seed grains in their seed form. This isn't bread. Maybe you don't realize it yet but a little older when you teeth get weaker you will. Maybe I am overdoing the quantity. But this sucks a lot of jaw muscles either way

Lentils are no different than plant proteins that infloooencers eat but they do BLOAT a lot and gas you up. They do satisfy hunger for only like 2-3 hours at max. Maybe I'm overchewing and have OCD? idk. Maybe not harder but it does take longer for some reason. Bread dissolves easily in saliva. Cooked glutinuous white rice does too but not to the same extent.

No matter how much you cook it prod it etc it's still a hard grained shells to chew eod.

The slop itself is heavy but the stains it leaves in your vessels they take a lot of muscles to scrub and really acidic dishwash liquids like Vim or citrus based ones. Imagine what happens in your body.

OP, I think it's an addiction to the extreme fullness that it provides. You should know that it's not particularly healthy. White rice spikes the blood sugar which then crashes dramatically. Switch to brown.

This is OP again. Had my 3rd bowl and now things are quite different. I apologize for my early chimpout at rice at beginning of the thread. Actually it turns out that freshly pressure cooked / microwaved white rice tastes fucking nice. As long as it's hot. It's easier to chew than bread, that anon was right. Digestion anon also was right.

Turns out I don't like the taste of the specific Indian curry/sauce I use for my rice. I don't like the taste of cooked vegetables no matter how healthy.

What I did today was split the bowl into
>mixed/sauced rice
>plain white rice

This reduced my stress. Turns out the sauce which is usually an Indian dish I make called "sambar" Or saffron curry is pretty fucking SPICY and flares up my IBS symptoms and some minor gerd and bloating.

Intestines anon was also right. Well I'm OP and I'm a retard. Lol. Rice is based.

Yes you can. It's just like pasta. Just salt the water and boil. Drain the water once ready.
But I recommend cutting them in smaller pieces for faster cooking. It also helps with absorbing salt. Boiling skin on potatoes don't absorb salt very well.
Actually, I dislike skin on potatoes. But peeling them after boiling them makes it easier.

You cook them either with skin or peel them before. The latter is much more common as it's easier. As the other guy said, if you peel them half or quarter them so they cook faster. If you're going to mash them you can cut them even smaller and cook them in like 10 min.

The skin is edible and possibly has nutritional value so peeling at any stage is optional for potato. Mashed potatoes are pretty much just crushed boiled potatoes+butter+milk/cream.
