Inlike your picture...they have some barbs on their top and bottom fins, that I hear are poisonous barbs, so It's rough to get them off the line to avoid them when you remove them from the hook.
When you live coastal, catfish and all mackerel is known to taste dark meat and frankly, very muddy and not as desired as snapper, dolphin, grouper, and lighter flavors.
In my opinion, no fish is worth eating if it isn't the exact kinds that you like. I'm just fine with chicken, pork and steak.
