Does anyone else find having a foodie backlog stressful? Like I have a list of dishes/foods/restaurants I want to try which is ever daunting and never stops growing. This was the same thing that ruined videogames/anime/TV shows/movies ect. for me. How do I learn to stop being an autistic retard and just enjoy things?
take your backlog and delete it / throw it in the trash. then enjoy the new feeling of freedom.
Collecting large amounts of information on the Internet has become entertainment in itself.

No because i'm not a retarded child who worries about trivial shit like that. Sure there are things i'd want to try but why would that cause me anxiety? If i try them i try them, if not, some other time or maybe never. It doesn't matter. It's just food.
>>21436840>If i try them i try them, if not, some other time or maybe never. This part drives me crazy though. And I never had this problem as a child, only as an adult.
>>21436942I don't know what to tell you except that you gotta get over it. It's not healthy. Or don't and spend the rest of your life chasing something you will never have. Just breathe man. You gotta learn to live in the now. Meditate, or take some shrooms, or get therapy, something, just get out of your head a little.
>>21436942Who are you even doing it for? Is this one of those zoomer FOMO bullshit things because you use too much social media and want to be in the loop? Seriously, who cares
>>21436942Is someone going to die if you don't make that caprese salad RIGHT NOW??? There are no life-changing recipes, there is no orgasmic meal, and there is no Queen of England. Just add recipes to your list and forget about them until you feel like trying out something new.
>>21436979I hope you never have to interact with anyone who has real problems
I get a little frustrated about having a recipe I saw that I'd like to try sitting in the back of my head and never getting around to it because it'd complicate integrating ingredients I don't usually buy into the budget I've gotten to maximal use for each different item, but it being this much of a source of anxiety sounds like low grade actual mental illness, I also have a shitton of anime and especially regular movies I have been meaning to watch for literally years and don't because I'm usually not in the mood for fiction but it raises to the level of mild exasperation with myself at absolute worst, maybe you're focusing anxiety for some real problems on a nonsense one or conversely have so little to actually worry about you're making this into a source of stress
