I had an Applebee's Fiesta Lime Chicken that came with pico de gallo, and even though I could taste the soapiness of the cilantro, I didn't mind it as much mixed with the red onions. This is funny to me, because when I tried a Panera Flatbread Pizza, the cilantro in the sausage made me think for a moment that they didn't rinse the tray properly when washing it. I still finished it tho.
I have an odd hybrid palate when it comes to genetic taste, I guess. My dad hates black licorice and my mom hates cilantro, so I actually like weaker forms of black licorice (your Red Vines and Good & Plenty type). Guess the same goes for cilantro...

So I had some pic related. I couldn’t figure out what the unique aromatic flavor was. I saw someone say corriander. Is that right? I dislike cilantro, by the way.
