The last time I was in a Denny's, smoking was still allowed in restaurants but they had signs apologizing that the smoking section would be going away. So it must have been like 2006.

It's no Super Bird. Denny's now is comically overpriced, I'll just go to waffle house and take my risk of getting stabbed for cheaper better food

Loaded breakfast sandwich is $8.50 on the daily diner deal menu, and my location uses burger buns instead of english muffins, and stuffs like a whole omelettes worth of eggs if you ask for scrambled. Like, the folded over itself in a rectangular pan kind. One time I said no toast and they just gave me double hash browns.
I will always love Denny's. They treat me well, so I treat them well too. I just wish shitty parents would stop bringing their little kids in so late. Like, unless you just got off a flight, why are you bringing your kids to Denny's at 1:00am?
