Slow baking a baked potato really is superior. Look it up. 250 degrees for 3 1/2~ hours is best for a russet this size.

Slather it up with canola butter and go to town to get your shopping done and when you get back it's done. No need to cover.

250 degrees is a good temp for other things as well. 4th of July is coming up. Pork Back Ribs are great for exactly the same time and temperature. Hell, hit em both with the broiler for two minutes right at the end if for some reason you like them crispy. Not my thing.

I am only making a potato now though. When the chores are done I'll have my dinner waiting for me.

Not my fault if you have a faulty gas stove. The only thing I use propane for is in the winter when its too cold for the heat pump. Usually that temp for pumps is around freezing. That's when the efficiency takes a big hit.

Imagine if they had heat pump ovens? Boy oh boy wouldn't that be swell? Free air conditioning in the summer.

Just can't get excited for this guy anymore since he went woke. Professionals need to learn to keep their jobs and politics separate.
