This one is from Win Son's newish location in the East Village. It's a "jiucai" pancake with egg, havarti, chives, shallot sauce, and rice noodles, served with spicy mayo on the side. Not exactly authentic, bougie as hell in fact, but it's tasty and if I want "the real thing" there are plenty of places in Chinatown I can go to.

Any good scallion pancakes near you?

Close, $16. I save the other half for next day, though, since it's pretty rich and greasy.

I'm well aware of how that compares to a scallion pancake from a Chinatown place, but it's not the same thing anyway, and most times I just don't care.

Looks delicious but is it more of an oniony breakfast burrito?

The frozen korean scallion pancakes at Trader Joe’s were pretty good, although I don’t think they carry the rn
