Do you cook your spaghetti the black people way?

Has anyone lighter than a paper bag actually had sugar spaghetti and if so how was it?

Looks umami.

Holy shit, that's at least 100g of sugar.

My mom would put a couple tablespoons of brown sugar in her spaghetti sauce to "lower the acid" and claims it upsets her stomach if she doesn't add it.

I usually add a pinch when I do my Bolognese as it can help accentuate the tomatoes flavour

I think tinned tomatoes are riper and sweeter in modern times.

YUCK! But if I did I'd cook the sugar into the sauce fucking way before mixing it in with noodles. There's going to be granulation and grit in that.

If that's really a "black people" thing, I'm starting to understand the diabetes and loss of limbs I observe in their culture.
Perhaps sugar does NOT belong in spaghetti, "y'all".

Jesus fucking christ. Now you're posting your green protagonists with their pants fucking soiled? How proud you must be. The uglyness doesn't faze you, the shortness or fatness doesn't bother you. Now your mascot has had an accident.
I grilled some "fren" about this nonsense on another board, demanding he justify himself, and he posted: "I may be tall and skinny but in my soul I resemble Apu."
Probably the most pathetic shit I ever saw. And this goes with whining that women don't want you. Are you not making the connection here??
What the fuck?

At least Pepe had some confidence, even smugness. Apu is angry and on the verge of tears. It's such a self-own. Makes zero sense.

A tiny amount of sugar just to balance the acidity is acceptable if you’re making a tomato sauce from scratch, if you’re using jarred sauce don’t bother it already has sugar.
Anonymous No.21441949 [Report]
>>21441946
Or just use carrots to add more flavor and also balance the acidity
Anonymous No.21441953 [Report]
>>21441946
This. And I'd rather just caramelize some extra onions and garlic to achieve a sweetness there. These people are obviously using canned sauces; probably nothing more than ground beef and the sauce and noodles. Those store sauces are already disgustingly sweet on their own, so I find the addition of two cups of sugar to be even more offensive.

Used to work with a white guy who grew up on the sugar thing too, so it's just a trashy person thing I think.

That's a bit much, but yes it does balance the acid.

Maybe compared to 100 years ago but they are still lacking when compared to fresh ripe tomatoes. A pinch of sugar makes a huge difference.
