It's not ice cream, the texture is too gritty/icy.

Sucks that any good ice cream machine is even more expensive.

No, it's a failing of their technology.

Instead of properly churning the mixture while slowly cooling to avoid ice crystal creation, you freeze the entire mixture and then whip it, this leave a large quantity of icy crystals within the final mixture that you don't have with normal ice cream.

If you think ALL ice cream is that gritty, you've just never had good ice cream.

can you post your machine to verify that you actually own and have used a creami?

No because I gave it to my dumbass cousin since she was fawning over the thing.

Beyond that, this is a WELL KNOWN issue with the Creami, it's by far the biggest complaint about it

It can also be exacerbated by your freezer and how well it can freeze the mixture without introducing ice crystals, but since Ninja obviously can't control the freezer you're using, it is an uncontrolled variable they simply don't account for well (or can't account for it well).

The creami can make nice tasting "ice cream", but it just can't compare to the texture of the real thing.

That's stupid, it's much more economical to buy a
$200 ice cream maker, and it only takes up a little counter space

at that point i'd rather just spend the extra and get a Lello 4080 at $800.
