>pay $4 for half a coke can
>Pay $10 for a $1 potato

And restaurants still ask for $18% tip? If you buy drinks from a restaurant thats enough tip

Then eat at home if you don't want to. I generally do. Tips are dumb but you're shooting yourself in the foot if you keep going out and doing it.

yeah it's a big scam
one time in europe they asked me if I wanted sparkling or still water (bottles) and I asked if I could have tap water and they said no. lol. water is free wtf is their problem

also it's annoying when they have a pickup / takeout service and the wagie gets an attitude if you don't tip for walking the order to your car

Now that is quite the dilemma. Do you offer a tip for the hot waitress to spit in your food and risk creeping them out or do you not tip so they'll do it for free?

In Australia, venues have to provide free water
https://www.vic.gov.au/free-water-licensed-premises

One time I asked for water at a place and he begrudgingly gave me a bottle of water because they didn't have any cups.

How's that my fault, bitch? Surely the store upcharing 80-150% on sides and drinks can afford to pay its workers?

>"THE TIP WORKERS NEED THE MONEY ASSHOLE"

Imagine slipping a $10 to your Walmart cashier and telling him "I know you need it, pal".

Lmfao tip workers are essentially prostitutes

I carry around a tip spinner, it's a big colorful roulette style thing I stole from an old board game and when I'm done eating I proclaim it's time for the tip spin and I invite people from other tables to come watch me spin, the tip can be 5%, 10%, 20% or even 50% but there are also 3 no tip spots. The tip spinner won't start spinning until everyone is chanting SPIN, SPIN, SPIN

Yes, if you want professionals to take your order, cook for you, bring your food, bus your table and do the dishes for you as well, all of that costs money. When it comes to quality, convenience, and cost saving, the best you can ever hope to do is two out of three.

If it’s a sit down place I’ll tip, I didn’t have to go to a restaurant for my meal.
I won’t tip if it’s just me ordering food at a counter or picking up something like at grab and go places

It's the law to lay them below minimum wage.
>>21442669
They get minimum wage, then tips displace wages down to $3/hr. So they always get minimum wage or above, but the employer is still pushing the cost of labor onto customers, instead of making a functional business.

Plus servers don't deserve tips anyways. It just a way to make boomers feel like they are more important, and to make younger generations suck up for money.
