Not really, actually. This is one of those things where a thing is obscure and hipsters meme it up like it's the second coming of christ.
Is swiss wine pretty good? Yeah. Can some of it go toe to toe with some of the better wines from north italy, savoie, etc? Yeah sure I guess.
Is it "some of the best in the world"? I mean sure yeah if you include like, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as.
I guess what I am trying to say here is I believe that they should... our winemaking over here in the US should help the US, uh, or, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq, and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children.
But I digress. Just because belle glos tastes like ass does not mean I'm going to pay $65 for underripe pinot noir with a funny german-sounding nickname.
Speaking of ass, I would like to put my tongue up Dylan Mulvaney's ass. As Rachel Ray would have said when she was hot, "yummo!" But step aside Rachel, legacy women are deprecated. Also food and cooking.
Ok see you guys in three days!
>>21442066 (OP)Not a fan of most wine. I like a basic bitch Moscato maybe once every couple of years.
Use wine in cooking a lot though. Just got through making Chicken Marsala about an hour ago in fact. Maybe an old fashioned a month is about my average on just drinking alcohol.
>>21442066 (OP)Every country can have good wine nowadays. Characteristics that limited quality like terroir, grape variety, climate variations, aging, etc. have been overcome by globalization and chemical additives. You can hire a good vintner or winemaker and they can give you a great product within 5 years, nowadays.
>>21442066 (OP)Yes, unfortunately swiss wines are hard to find and usually of my budget. I've only tasted Muller-Thurgau and Petite Arvine but neither were produced in Switzerland, still looking for a Savignin (I think the swiss might call it something else tho), Humagne, Amigne, Chasselas and Cornalin to check off my list. I remeber tasting a Blauburgunder from Alto Adige too.
>>21442139Honestly fat old rachel ray does it for me too. I know she got that sloppery ass olive oil pussy
Lol
Lmao even.
Swiss wine may be drinkable but it's vary away from the quality and superiority of anything from Italy, Spain or France has to offer.
It's a bit above German wine but that stuff is usually undrinkable.
When I visit my swiss friends they always try to goad me into liking some special swiss meme products and while it works every now and then but the wine is just meh and basically any budget Italian red runs laps around them for a fraction of the price.
