do u take any supplements?
i take a multivitamin (men's 50+ costs the same amount but has more vitamin in it).
fish oil
magnesium

the multivitamin is like 5 cents a day and even if i piss out most of it, i figure it'll keep me covered when my diet is bad. fish oil is because i don't eat fish. and magnesium because most people don't get enough magnesium.

most vitamins consumed separate from natural food sources have been strongly linked to cancer, liver failure, kidney stores, and vascular damage

No, because I'm not retarded or a manchild and my diet is balanced and diversified in its nutrients. Also most supplements are useless and a massive waste of money

I had my blood checked and have no deficiencies so I don't need them. Anyone that takes them without cause is a retard.

I used to get really bad nausea with certain vitamins, too. From what I know, it's usually some sort of intolerance for B vitamins. You can power through it if you will. I don't feel it anymore.

>vitamins are usually extracted from natural sources.
That is easily one of the most useless things I've ever heard anyone say. Where the fuck ELSE are vitamins going to be extracted from? UNnatural sources?
Anyhow, I take magnesium. Two forms, actually. Oxide and glycinate. The oxide version is for when I have a tummyache.

I take 30,000 IUs of vitamin D every Monday morning. Recommended by my doctor because I live in a northern state. Don't know if it does shit for me because I still get depressed as hell sometimes but I also only get sick once a year (probably also helps that I work from home)

Some advice, Magnesium, iron and zinc compete for whos being absorbed so you have to try to take them at different times of the day

talks about how vitamins separate from natural sources are bad
but, all the vitamins come from natural sources. eating a hamburger and taking a fish oil tablet is the same shit as eating a hamburger and a can of sardines.

this. youre supposed to monitor your nutrient levels with a nutrition specialist and supplement only the ones your body lack, for the prescribed time
health supplements are treatment not a daily thing

The current thought is they probably don't hurt you, but they probably don't help you much unless you have a legitimate disease or deficiency. If you're able, a varied diet will go much further than a pill.

Vitamins can be extracted from natural sources or manufactured (synthetic). If a synthetic vitamin is 100% chemically identical then theoretically there should be no difference in bioavailability. However, vitamins from whole food sources compared to natural or synthetic supplements tend to be more bioavailable (better absorbed and put to use) because of other nutrients/chemicals in the food. An example not related to whole food is tumeric and pepper. Tumeric contains curcumin and and black pepper contains piperine. When eaten together, the piperine can increase curcumin bioavailability by 2000%.
