Just had a bout of covid and lost like half my ability to taste, everything tastes half metallic.

I'm losing my shit right now cuz the only thing keeping me sane in the midst of all the shit i uave to do is being able to enjoy some foods i like.

Pls tell me how to fix it?

Time is the only real thing. My taste and smell were fucked hard for about a year after I got covid. Good luck. They sell smell retraining kits on Amazon that allegedly help you recover faster.

You won't try it, but I will tell you. Go buy acidophilus capsules. They are cheap. Take 5 billion worth for a week, and drink nothing but pure water, NO DIET SODA OR BOOZE. Eat fruit and light salads. You are welcome.

try vitamin A nose drops, if there's no effect after a week, try spraying colloidal silver in the nasal passages

For about 2-3 years anything with garlic or onion, coffee, fried food, and various other things smelled and tasted like rotten meat to me. It's better now but not back to normal, just less offensive.

Nerves were damaged in the sinuses and brain. Consume the building blocks for nerves, and take a multivitamin. I got B12 shots. Do your retraining exercises.

Really this >>21444964 is the best advice. I got a wicked as fuck rotovirus this winter which made me lose about 80% of the hearing in my left ear for months. But I ate extra healthy and took multivitamins and it slowly came back.

The only thing you can do is give it time, Anon.

My first bout of WuFlu, I had that weird smell/taste-distortion thing for three or four months after I got over the virus. The subsequent bouts, it's only lasted a day or two.

I will note however that when I returned to the U.S. two years ago (I was living/working overseas for about a decade), I found Costco rotisserie chickens to be absolutely fucking flavorless. I don't know if that's a sign of permanent damage from the WuFlu or if they really are just crap nowadays. My sense of taste in general seems more or less ok, but there's no way I can tell for sure if it's just partially back to normal, or if there are specific scents/tastes that are completely gone now while others are ok.

My sense of taste was destroyed for about 3 weeks after a case of chinkyflu. It returned to normal, but I'm not a vaxxoid. I recall two anons saying their taste was gone for months, until they tried an ivermectin regimen and it cleared up, but who knows?
