New England? If you're in Connecticut, don't forget to stop by Capitol Lunch in New Britain. A family owned location for nearly a century, currently operated by the elder Gerald and younger Matthew Warchezski. The location is known to locals as “Crapitol Lunch” and are known to come in and ask for “the shit sauce”. 2 hotdogs and an order of fries is commonly called a “Big Shitter”. You won’t find this on any menu, but if you’re a true local you’ll know. The Famous Sauce is often served in small ramekins commonly called “dookie drops” by locals and used for dipping. The sauce is also sold for $10 for an 8 ounce container, something many New Britain locals take advantage of due to the popularity of the Famous Sauce. Locals know to order it as a “Big Dump” and the owners aren’t shy about giving a little extra to people who order this way, knowing they’re what’s called a “tool city townie” and thus one of their own.

Only the wurst of the wurst American bread is like that anon. Maybe that low-tier shit is more pervasive in America, but it is absolutely not the majority of what is available.

The very wurst Australian bread is much the same, although I agree the most ultrasoft processed white crap bread is hardly every bought in Australia. But it does exist.

First of all, we don't really have "hot dogs", but we do have sausages (usually cheep fatty ground beef which is grey/brown, and not similar to hot dogs at all), and we're quite happy with some caramelized onions and BBQ sauce, or tomato sauce (ketchup). Things like mustard and relish don't really exist at any public or large-scale sausage sizzle

Why? because you saw the '''shrimp''' on the barbie tourism campaign from the 80s? or Jim Carrey quoting it in Dumb & Dumber? Our idea of a barbecue isn't the same as Americans, we use it to socialise and drink beer. Usually we just put beef sausages, rissoles and steak on a charcoal flame while we all get drunk.

Is everyone on this site a mental defect?

It's not overly common (that said it's still cheap and easily available), but when cooked well, kangaroo fillet is incredible.
Made an Asian banquet for my sister's 30th a few years ago including teriyaki roo with a special recipe that included vegemite in the sauce (it gives an extra savory kick to it; compliments the "teriyaki" flavour profile very well, as such I highly recommend it) and everyone loved it.

Here’s a real hot dog you bogan bait taker. See that, the wiener is served in what’s called a “hot dog bun.” lol to your down under dogs served on a slice of bread

how much do you pay for a hot dog like in your picture? for pic related I pay $3.50. i bet that the australian thing changes for $2.00 it's owner. can some aussie confirm?
non the less, i think it's an easy snack which doesn't make you think about your daily spending.

1: they're sausages not hotdogs and they're cooked on a greasy ass bbq
2: hotdog buns are too much bread
3: sausage sangas are meant to be about the sausage, the bread is just there so you don't have to hold a burning hot greasy sausage bare handed
4: they're meant to be cheap and used for fund raising and shit
5: fuck you fatty

>1: they're sausages not hotdogs and they're cooked on a greasy ass bbq
those "sausages" made of deer meat look dry and disgusting
>2: hotdog buns are too much bread
our hotdogs are thicker and not dry thin pieces of beef jerky so its proportional
>3: sausage sangas are meant to be about the sausage, the bread is just there so you don't have to hold a burning hot greasy sausage bare handed
I wouldn't eat that either way- with or without bread
>4: they're meant to be cheap and used for fund raising and shit
ours are cheap too, 2-5 bucks but somehow incredibly better quality
>5: fuck you fatty
you're certainly not fat if that is what is served, wouldn't eat for weeks if I lived there

>Our idea of a barbecue isn't the same as Americans, we use it to socialise and drink beer. Usually we just put beef sausages, rissoles and steak on a charcoal flame while we all get drunk.

American grilling is the same, we just actually make it edible

We have ketchup and tomato sauce here in Australia and I can unequivocally say that tomato sauce is superior in every way. Tomato sauce is still sweet but nowhere near as sickly sweet and overpowering as ketchup is
No idea what American bread is like but if it's anything like the ketchup/tomato sauce situation then yes, ours is better

It's sugary but surprisingly tasty. I had subway while on a trip to Florida and the bread was sweet but not in a sickening way. Kind of like maccas burger buns. probably not good for you, but nice as a treat.

The reason there is no street food in Australia is because if a boomer sees you selling something, they will immediately call the police

In most of the world, that is not true. You just get a stand and start selling whatever, and nobody bothers you.

You're in a cult.

George Washington wasn't a founding father, and the unlawful tax used to justify the suppression of the whisky rebellion was abolished as soon as Jefferson took office (Jefferson being the man who actually wrote the constitution)
