No tipping will still mean customers gonna tip.

I nearly always tip the Publix bagboy. They aren't allowed to get tips, however, they also aren't allowed to argue when the customer is always right and then insists.

If the stupid new bagboy doesn't at least offer to help me, they lose out. Most know my face and will hustle to have a good 5 minute conversation, leisurely walk, and catching up conversation. I am doing my part keeping the help employed and good customer service. I also can't stand to walk the cart back in the extreme heat/rain. I have arthritis, too.

No clue but I have been to a couple places that don't allow tipping and it honestly was not that much more expensive than anywhere else. Instead of 15$ a plate average it was like 18 or 20

they'll be out of business shortly. a place near me tried to do this and couldn't hack it. it only works if everyone does it else people go there once, don't like the prices, and never come back. even if they would end up saving money, the initial price stays with them

I didn't know where that is specifically but a diner in Philadelphia did that about 15 years ago. The prices increased but, surprisingly enough, were lower than what I was paying before then when i included tips. No idea if the diner is still around since it seems like half the diners there have gone out of business and what's left are no longer 24 hours but this was the South Street Diner at Second and South, just off Headhouse.
