the corner of the store near the deli or produce that most stores have. Smaller neighborhood markets probably won't but they'll have at least a small section of recently baked bread from a distributor.

They are just trolling and so are you. Any non-retard know USA has bakeries in chain grocery stores & thousands of independent bakeries.

Somewhere between 3,000 and 6,700, depending on what you consider an independent bakery (places that do confections/cakes/tarts vs a bakery that focuses on breads)

I mean, Walmart IS bottom of the barrel for grocery stores and Hy-Vee is lower mid-tier.

So Hy-Vee is a step up from Walmart, but far from an "upscale" grocer.

Some Americans actually live in a place that has a local bread factory. In my neck o' the woods, it's Franz Bakery. I took a field trip there once in second grade and got a cute paper hat

I have been scared to post this, because people are going to make fun of me or say I’m crazy, but I’ve thought something for years and I want to see if it’s just me.

All of the artisan and specialty breads at grocery stores are PROOF we are actually living in a simulation.

Nobody buys this bread. Ever. I never see it in someone’s cart. I never see someone checking out with a massive red pepper asiago loaf the size of a basketball. In all my years I’ve never walked into a friends home and been offered a baguette or a fresh slice of focaccia.

I’ve never even heard of a “Sourdough Boule” and respectfully I am not sure they even exist.

Nobody is baking these. Nobody is buying these. Nobody is eating these. They are just there. Every time. Just like last time. Being walked past.

The bread is a decoration. The bread is a simulation.

the problem with euros is that they have 1) a superiority complex 2) are actually inferior
and thus it causes enough cognitive dissonance to completely mindfuck them into taking the position of superiority without even being aware of just how inferior they actually are honk honk j/k eurofag don't blow a bloodvessel it's all in good fun :^)

worked in a grocery store, people buy these, you probably just never waddle over to the fresh bread section and see people picked them up because you're too distracted by takis and grape drank.

also we're not in a simulation, but squirrel aren't real. have you ever seen squirrel poop? they don't. they're not real. squirrels are a mass delusion that has been inflicted on humanity for some nefarious purpose.

I work in a bakery and while we mostly make coffee cakes we do also make real focaccia with real olive oil and no added sugar.

eurobvlls have way more bakeries tho (per capita), especially french people, and they are independent from grocery stores usually, like on every street corner. way better than shartmart bread
