Hey I have an idea to create a XXL mason "jar" and rebrand it as a mason bowl. A bowl for men, for adventure. Tupperware for the bugout bros. Big enough we can finally fit our fat fingers into and actually clean when we're camping. They are manufactured with ergonomic crock handles, perfect for holding hot foods.
This set of 6 16oz Mason Bowls can be yours for as little as 29.99, plus shipping and handling but wait. Act now and we can throw in this impact resistant Mason Bowl Harness for as little as 9.99.

But fr, I'd totally buy an extra wide, wide mouth jar I can put in a lunch box.

No, I still think it's a good idea. Have the same type of metal screw on lid that Mason jars have, and market them at half the price of those yeti bowls.

Perforated caps would be nice so I could use it to wash fruit and then drain the water out

that's going to be awkward to spin on a larger bowl where you can't easily put your hand over the entire thing like you can with a jar

I can fit my hand in a widemouth jar just fine, I know some can't
>16oz Mason Bowls
the regular coffee mug most people use is 12 oz
make it 64 oz and you might be on to something
but a real man would just opt for a gallon glass pickle jar
hopefully I'll get one of them some day

i have large hands but it's still probably going to be close to the same as my hand in the shape of gripping that kind of lid to twist it which doesn't give you a lot of leverage. there's a reason you don't really see any bowls that size with twist lids but only snapping ones. it wouldn't be impossible to use but it wouldn't be ideal either.

I was actually planning that. You can can your own soups in their ver own bowl. >>21453130

That'd be Awkard af for what I had in mind. I was planning on the mason bowl to be 5 inches wide at the most because any wider woudl do as >>21452939 said.
I'd also have to sell them individually at that point.
For reference this is a 32 oz wide mouth mason jar. It has a diameter of 3 1/2 inches.

Anon this is a 16 oz mug bowl set that's 4.75"W x 3.75"H.
My plan to use a 4.25 inch lid is very doable. I'll make the mason bowl 4.25"W x 4.25"H.

infact I rand the numbers and 4.25"x4.25" is almost twice 16 oz. Depending on glass thickness of course, I haven't pulled that information up.
