what does the percentage mean?
surely it can't be 100% cocoa, that would be the literal non fermented fresh fruit

Yeah, I got caught out by this too once. They keep the same size cardboard as the lower % bars. You open to discover it's only half. I never bought it again. Fun fact: Lindt is now ยฃ3.50

I would agree, but the price has gone from ยฃ1.50 to ยฃ3.50 in just a few years. It just isn't worth it imho. There's nothing special about the quality of the cocoa they use. It's from the Ivory coast like most mass manufactured bars I think. It's decent for a supermarket bar, but mediocre objectively.

Anyway, in an attempt to still eat something chocolatey and save money I've made something that tastes better than Lindt. The problem is that it isn't a bar, more of a chocolate dip. I buy the best organic cocoa I can find and mix it with organic honey and a bit of water. It's delicious, but obviously the texture isn't the same.

Eating cacao before bed is a really good idea. The alkaloid content helps you to calm down and de-stress, perfect for helping you get a good night's sleep!

I was eating a 90% bar every day for a while.

It was because I was dosing a lot of vitamin D and my magnesium levels had tanked. Once I started magnesium glycinate pills I stopped wanting chocolate.

Hopefully I don't end up like a lead-gasoline boomer. I was feeling adrenalized all the time because of the chocolate. I could feel the waves of adrenaline. Chocolate is similar to caffeine in that way.

It's crazy how much better Whittakers is than every other chocolate brand. I wish it went on sale more often, though. In Australia it only goes on sale once every 4-5 months, I assume it's different in NZ.
