I'm new to working out and I'll be tight on money for a couple of weeks ($300) and I was wondering if you guys have any advice on eating clean food on a budget. Protein rich.

Protein powder is your friend for getting plenty of protein, having to eat over 100g a day using only food is a pain.

Is his what people consider a budget these days? Christ do you normally eat five guys for every meal or something?

I can tell this chart was made by someone who lives in a third world country based on the foods they picked.

Eat 0.25kg of meat every day for dinner, thats 50g of proteins.
Make some potatoes (~500g) to go with it for dinner and thats another 10g protein
And of course add some vegetables so you get the right nutrients. Carrots or broccoli or cabbage are the best picks.

For breakfast eat a yoghurt (400g joghurt gives you a clean 16g protein).
For supper eat a few slices of full grain rye bread which should have about 12g of protein. Eat with cheese and ham and butter and you easily achieve 100g protein per day, even more if you drink some milk.

Buy your condiments and whatever other things in bulk at a store like Costco and then go to your local, good quality (probably expensive) grocery store for produce and meat. You will need to go to the grocery store multiple times a week (at least three or four), but you get better and more fresh food. It makes a huge difference. You save a little money and time, imo, because your trips to the grocery store are quicker and you're buying the right things at the right place and your food is staying super fresh because you're only buying for one-two days out (and not going bad).

How the fuck is $300 a low budget for two weeks of food? You could smoke four 16 lb briskets, seasoning, sauces, and accoutrements included, for that much. Even for an entire month, $300 is a perfectly reasonable budget for any single person
