Well I'm trying buttermilk marinaded chicken for the first time and I accidentally added flour to the wet mix. Is the dish completely fucked now?
It's over. Gonna have to chuck it or just bake the chicken at least. Next time, make sure you have all your ingredients set up beforehand so you can avoid accidents like this.
How much flour? Is it thick enough to be a batter? If so you could just drop it straight into the fryer. If not, it probably won't fuck the dish, just dredge it like you normally would.
If you're really paranoid, just rinse it off and do a regular 3 stage breading. Just make sure you dry the chicken really well.
