I use a single amazon basics knife so no I don't think it's worth it
but if you do at least wait a couple days for the prime day sales

All you need is a sontoku and a paring knife. You will literally never use any of the other ones.

Do you have uses for all of them? I only need a chef knife, bread knife, and steak knives. Been considering a santoku instead of the chef knife though since I'm mostly just cutting vegetables and have no need for the point.

Knife sets are fucking garbage
Get a wusthof chef's knife if you wanna splurge but you could just get a mac, victorinox or mercer
Paring knife is also nice to have

You dont want a nice knife set, you want a nice knife. Buying a set like that is paying $60 for a chefs knife youll use for 90% of your knife work then another $480 for a block full of matching handles.
Get yourself a single nice chefs knife, or a weeb knife if thats what youre into, then a magnetic strip to store it on
