For me it's vanilla. Sometimes I get French Vanilla (the fancy kind with the specks of vanilla dust).

The justified fear of disappointment has kept me from getting scammed by novelty flavors.

Have you ever tried a meme ice cream?

I had candy cap mushroom ice cream once. It was pretty good. It tasted like maple and woody spices.

Nuh uh, "French Vanilla" would be the custardy yellow cream colored vanilla, with vanilla bourbon extract, withOUT any specks of real vanilla bean.

For me, milk ice cream. Milk. Japanese call it Hokkaido ice cream or whatever, but I want to find a tub of just milk, not vanilla, milk ice cream. It's so creamy and good.

No. If it's attached to a brand or celebrity, it's a meme and I refuse to try it.

Cookies and cream is the only exception to the above since it's tied to Oreo sometimes.

Where do you even go for exotic ice cream? The fanciest stuff at local parlors is tiger stripe or mint chocolate chip.

Gross. Instead of chocolate fudge or fruit sauce, they should finish that with Pace picante.

Good work, anon. French vanilla is nasty and the cheap ones melt into a foamy, airy mess. I like bright white Vanilla Bean that looks like half and half if it melts.
Of course I'll take a real homemade ice cream of any kind over the store stuff, which would likely be more like French. But the way I'd make it it'd also have specks of bean in there.

Dunno about meme flavors, but gelato (icecream, not the shaved ice shit) joints tend to be fairly adventurous.

You get that in Scotland too, we call it "plain" ice cream. Though in our case, it's probably more because we're too cheap for vanilla, not an appreciation for the milk flavour.

Made my first ice cream with Pic related. Turned out pretty good. I only churned for 20 minutes. It's not as soft/easy to scoop as I'd hope once it's frozen, but its turned out nicely nonetheless.

I havenโ€™t had this in ages but I remember liking it even though it tasted weird, thereโ€™s something oddly appealing about the flavor
