those in the pick are actual pieces of chicken and it tastes miles better than KFC.
KFC Japan makes 80% of its revenue from Christmas pre-orders, thanks to some clever marketing they did in the 70s. If it wasnt for that they wouldve gone bankrupt in Japan decades ago.

Luxury products are Wagyu beef.
Imported beef from the U.S. and Australia is everyday food.
And then there is domestic beef, which is a lower grade of beef than Wagyu beef, but still tastes better than imported beef.

They were only enthusiastic about Burger King because it was a rarity for them, and that enthusiasm will have already subsided.
And the same thing will happen when Starbucks opens for the first time in that district.

Beef, by the way, is available cheaply at yakiniku restaurants all over Japan.
It is far tastier than beef bowls and burgers.

>Japan is one of the biggest beef importers in the world
It's true. The closest import for beef is AUS, and it's nearly 4x the price of what you'd pay at home, if not 8x.

So beef chains or not, this is a luxury cut for locals, and priced for it to be used rarely or in minimal amounts.

which is incredibly pricy
>then there's imported US and australian beef
which is still going to be a fair bit pricier than it would be here because they need to import that shit internationally
>then there's domestic that is still better than imported
so pricier still than imported

"Affordable" means something different when they eat less than half the beef per person than the americans they are importing from. So their beef bowls that you suck off are eaten sparingly as a luxury treat, or just don't actually have that much beef in them to make them affordable.

Your original post
>Japs can't have beef most of the time
Implies Japanese don't consume beef most of the time because it's expensive. That is simply not true when you can get a beef bowl for $3.

>>21457252
>So their beef bowls that you suck off are eaten sparingly as a luxury treat
The beef bowl is not, I repeat, not a luxury treat. It's one of the most popular meals the working class and families consume.
>just don't actually have that much beef in them to make them affordable
And now you are moving the goalpost.

Japs objectively do not consume beef nearly as much as other nations that can make their own, you can look this up. Part of that is going to be because beef is more expensive in that country, because they have to import a great deal of it due to the geography of their country being unsuitable for its production.
>well no they eat this dish with miniscule slivers of beef often in japan
The difference between eating X amount of beef every 8 days or eating a quarter of X amount every other day is not a meaningful one.
The numbers don't lie, these 3 things are true and your weeb tongue-twisting won't change them:
>beef is more expensive in japan than in countries they import it from
>they import a lot of it because their country is not suited to producing it to the scale of their population
>their people do not eat as much as other countries more suited to its production and export for these reasons
Fucking retard. Refute those last three points or I will just laugh at your coping reply when you make it and ignore everything else.

I usually eat a balanced diet of fish, chicken, pork and beef.
When I really want to eat beef, I go to an all-you-can-eat yakiniku restaurant, which costs $20 for imported beef and $35 for domestic beef.
However, there are also all-you-can-eat imported beef for less than $15 at other restaurants.

Yes, I know what you mean. There is no misunderstanding here. You tried to paint a picture of Japan consuming beef only on rare occasions and your other statement
>So their beef bowls that you suck off are eaten sparingly as a luxury treat
supports your original statement. Which is also factually wrong. If you want a luxury treat, you go to a fancy sushi restaurant, not a chain restaurant that serves $3 meals.

That's because it's made from Wagyu chicken. The chickens are raised on a diet of artisanal mealworms and spring water, they are massaged twice per day by geishas, and they bathe in the soothing hot springs of Hokkaido. The result is a meat of incomparable flavour and tenderness. Americans simply lack the tradition and honour to produce such chicken.

I see you still don't deny that 1)beef is more expensive in japan, 2)they import a lot because their country is dogshit at making it to their demand, 3)and they eat less than other countries with more ready production because of it. So you're a coping faggot and I laugh at you. The other shit you're wrong about because you can't read a reply chain is secondary to you being unable to disprove those 3 points.
