Someone's phd project in engineering/automation likely. It wasn't programmed by a chef, that's for sure, but it could go into a factory one day. Would I eat it, hell no. The rice will be soggy, combined now with the overcooked eggs, and browning was nonexistent throughout. Doubtful this is how PFChangs makes their frozen fried rice.

The Ex programmed a contact lens assembly line machine, and maintained that it stayed online 24/7. $$$$

yeah it's just a pan. if you get it hot enough and let the food sit in it long enough it'll brown like any other pan. but people often don't let it get hot enough, or don't let it sit in the pan long enough, or overcrowd the pan so food steams instead of browning.
