Yeah, prices go up over time. Who would have guessed? Maybe someone should do a study about it or something

It was actually more expensive in the 1970s in some cases. Even until 2016 the bean burrito was under a dollar.

Maybe someone should do a study that you won't read and can't understand as to why you're a midwit. Then you can post a link to it and say it's proof you're intelligent. Wholesome!

This was $1 in 2008. Adjusted for inflation that is $1.49. Today it is over $3.

There have been numerous studies on price inflation specifically targeting the last five years. Yeah, there was pretty high inflation coming out of COVID but companies, especially food companies making processed convenience foods, used that as an excuse to jack prices up sometimes 300%. They lose some portion of customers to either being priced out or just choosing to prepare more meals at home, but the multiplicative price increases mean they still get to report quarterly profit increases as the captive portion of their consumer base bares the cost.

A lot of people don’t want to talk about hyperinflation and the cost of living crisis because it’s inherently linked to a certain mass traumatic event that could possibly be the greatest crimes ever perpetrated.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. The only time "legal" should be used in conjunction with pricing is to keep monopolies and cartels from inflating prices on necessities or things that are tied to the nation's security. No government should give a fuck if a McDouble costs 3x what it did a couple years ago; if there are retarded customers still willing to pay for it then so be it. Me? I cook more myself and my preferences for eating out have changed drastically based on what places surged in price compared to which ones didn't.

because the federal government lets companies largely do whatever they want out of fear that if they prosecute them, they will leave the country entirely. it's why no one was jailed for the great recession. go read the Chickenshit Club if you want to know more. warning: it's one of the blackest blackpills out there.

kek no. the government has all the cards here. the only reason these companies get away with shit is because of lobbying (aka bribery)
if the people demand it, the government can go in and implement all pro-consumer policies we want.
>they will leave the country entirely
they still want to do business in our country, it doesn't matter where they located their HQ. even the penguin island has tariffs so get fucked.

Somebody did, journalists wojack pointed at it without describing a single aspect about it and when you went online you found out you need to pay to read it and a three page authorization from the person who wrote it you can get by sending an email and hoping for the best
Best part is you paid for that study because it was made under a government grant authorized by a government who hates you and has been caught lying to you multiple times

Two income families can’t pay their bills whilst corporations have more money than they know what to do with.
The balance is completely out of whack and you deserve to die in a fire.

Laws don't apply to mega corporations. Once you have enough money you pass a threshold and can basically do whatever you want. The worst that happens is you pay a fine that amounts to 0.000000001% of your yearly profits.
Think about it, no commercial for a product has been what the product is actually like irl for a long time and yet when was the last time you heard of a company getting in trouble for false advertising? They can lie, cheat, steal and do basically anything but mass murder (individual murder is ok) and get away with a slap on the wrist. We've been living under a corporate congress for a long time, most people just don't realize it.
